Terms of Reference
1. To advise the Council on the appointment of ordinary members of the Governing Executive
2. To advise the Council on the reappointment of ordinary members of the Governing Executive at the end of their term of office
3. To advise the Governing Executive on the filling of any vacancies of ordinary members which occur during the year
4. To advise the Council on the appointment of co-opted members of Council
5. To advise the Council on widening the range of organisations represented on Council
6. To consider the results of audits of skills and experience of Governing Executive members to identify skills and experience needs
7. To consider the results of audits of skills and experience of Council members to assist in the election of new members of the Governing Executive
8. To monitor the composition of the Governing Executive to ensure a composition which is fully representative of the College’s students and constituencies
9. To consider governance self-assessment and monitor the implementation of the action plan
10. To monitor the governor training programme.
Composition
Six members including the Chair and Vice Chair of the Governing Executive, Principal, two members of Governing Executive and one member of Council.
