On 27th June, Social Work Tutor, Hilary Walker, launched her new book entitled “Studying for your Social Work Degree” at a small gathering of past and present students, colleagues and partner agencies at our Ruskin Hall, Headington campus.

Hilary wrote the book during her Autumn term study leave and says she is pleased with the finished product, especially that students report that they are finding it readable and supportive of their learning.
The book helps students develop the academic skills needed to study for the social work degree. Focusing on each of the three academic levels, this book explains what is expected of students at various levels and provides guidance and activities to enable students' development. It recognises the particular nature of social work study.
“Studying for your Social Work degree” by Hilary Walker is published by Learning Matters and is available from £15 upwards from Borders, WHSmith and other book retailers.
