Together with colleagues in South Africa and the UK, Economics Tutor Peter Dwyer, has been awarded a contract by a US publisher to produce a book titled 'Social movements and anti-globalisation in Africa'.
The proposed publication is a groundbreaking study of social movements in Southern Africa and their influence on national, regional and global political and social change.
Based on extensive research throughout the region by the authors, including interviews with leading civil society organisers and activists, the book will provide the first detailed study of civil society and social movement ideas and activism throughout the region.
