Ian Manborde (Programme Co-ordinator MA ILTUS) will be presenting a paper (presenting an analysis of UK trade union organising strategies of vulnerable workers) at the 2010 conference of the British Universities Industrial Relations Association (BUIRA) at Manchester Metropolitan University on Saturday 3rd July. He has worked collaboratively on the paper, and will present it jointly, with Ian Fitzgerald and John Stirling of Northumbria University. Ian is currently managing a national project, funded by the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills (BIS), which is investigating strategies to provide employment rights advice to vulnerable workers, on behalf of the General Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU). His project experience has helped to inform the writing of the paper.
