Dr Hilda Kean, Dean of Ruskin College and co-ordinator of the MA in Public History, was interviewed by John Sergeant on the BBC popular programme, The One Show, on Tuesday August 17th.
Hilda talked about her ground-breaking research on the cat and dog massacre in London at the start of the Second World War when hundreds of thousands of animals were killed at their owner’s behest. Her latest research complements her work on animal representation and histories and her book Animal Rights. She also teaches a module on animal history on the BA in History with Social Sciences.
