John Geoffrey Walker is a tutor in the Certificate of Higher Education in History, and is currently its acting programme coordinator. He also teaches economics as required in Ruskin's social science programme.  

He began his academic career at the age of forty, taking a BA(Hons) in History at Kings College London, subsequently gaining an MSc(Econ) and Ph.D. in Economic History at the London School of Economics. He gained a Post-Graduate Certificate of Education from the Institute of Education, University of London, in 2005. 

In addition to his teaching at Ruskin, he also teaches at the LSE, and has previously worked at Queen Mary University of London and King Alfred's College, Winchester, as well as having taught in further education.
