Help with Financing Your Studies
All new eligible students whose course is not eligible for an Adult Education Bursary should apply via Student Finance England for financial assistance with their tuition fees and maintenance. This service is for both full time and part time students. To find out more about the help available through Student Finance England visit www.direct.gov.uk/studentfinance or ring 0845 300 5090.
Full time students should make their application for financial assistance as soon as they receive their offer letter. Full time students will not be allowed to enrol unless they can confirm that they evidence to show how their tuition fees and (if applicable) residence and catering fees will be paid for.
Part time students will be able to download the part time tuition fee application form from the Student Finance England website from August 2009. Once you have been at College for two weeks you will need to get this form signed by the Academic Registrar. You will be notified via the College’s email system as to when she will be free to sign these forms.
Extra help is available for students with a disability, mental health condition or specific learning difficulty, and for students with children or adult dependants via Student Finance England.
Local Education Authority Funding (LEA)
You should only make an application for financial assistance through your local education authority if you are a continuing student.
