I work as a full-time tutor for Further Education. The role includes:

  • Programme Coordinator and tutor of the ITQ for IT Users Qualifications- involves the development, programming and delivery of all City and Guilds accredited units. The IT short courses offered include the Microsoft applications at levels 1/2

  • Programme Coordinator and tutor of Preparing for Further Study, Preparing for Employment and PreAccess to Social Care courses –involves their coordination and administration, liaising with Awarding bodies, obtaining qualification approval and timetabling the Programmes ,overseeing the activities of the teaching team involved and dealing with issues

  • Programme Coordinator and tutor of the E-functional Skills ICT qualifications – delivery of supporting workshops

  • Tutor on the Access Diplomas- IT For Academic Study Unit

  • Delivery of Digital evenings

  • Review of existing resources and development of new course material and units

  • Involvement in recruitment of students through Open Days /Taster Days and being responsible for tracking their development, assessment and evaluation

  • Involvement in the development of tracking, evaluation and administrative processes to ensure smooth running of the programmes from first point of contact o certification

  • Work with Academic coordinator to resolve course/ student issues
