The film won an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film (2015). The screening will be followed by a guest speaker Q & A on the film with Dr Namita Chakrabarty.

                                                                         Dario Fo’s ‘heady blend of vaudeville and politics’ is given a timely reading by Kevin Tomlinson (Abigail’s Party 2016) and his outstanding group of comic performers.

This is the first time that this ‘Ruskin’ play -- about a hairdresser who decides to become a mature student with the Open University -- has been performed at the college.
