What will I need?
You don’t need prior qualifications for this course. For Level 3 Access to HE a GCSE grade 5 in English or Maths is recommended. Applicants must be over 19 and have been out of full-time education for a year. There will be Maths and English assessments prior to the start of the course to make sure this is the right course for you.

What will it cover?
You will study five different topics:
- Atoms, molecules and pH
- From atoms to organ systems
- DNA, genes and inheritance
- Energy conservation and how the eye works
- The cardiovascular system

How will I be assessed?
The course is taught through a combination of face-to-face lessons, group work and independent learning activities. Assessment is through a mixture of workbooks and practical activities.
