Introduction to and Developing PowerPoint Skills

We have two courses running:

  • 25 March 2019 - 27 March 2019
    This course runs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays between 9am and 5pm.
  • 12 June 2019 - 14 June 2019
    This course runs on Wednesdays, Thursday and Fridays between 9am and 5pm.

This course is designed to provide learners with the skills to create professional standard presentations or simply for personal use.
You would expect the course to cover areas including (but not limited to):

  • Styles and creation of templates
  • Inserting objects and applying customised animations and transitions

If you are not eligible for financial support the course will cost £260 (this includes lunch).

While there are no entry requirements for this course, it is advised that you have computer skills and a basic ability to use a keyboard.
Upon application for the courses you will be invited for an initial assessment and interview to ensure that the course is suitable for you.

The course can be built on by attending other IT courses (such as spreadsheets, Word and internet) to achieve the ITQ for IT Users Award. The content of this unit has been developed with employers to ensure it is relevant to the real world and meets the needs of employers.

On completion of this course learners will be able to use a range of PowerPoint tools and techniques to produce effective presentations for education, entertainment or information sharing.
