This course is designed to help learners develop the knowledge and skills for community development work and people wanting to apply to a community development approach to work in another context (e.g. health, housing, regeneration).
You would expect the course to cover areas including (but not limited to):
- Community development values and processes
- Community group understanding
- Understanding of diversity and injustice issues

If you wish to study this course at Level 1, it will be expected that you hold an Entry 3 in English and Maths.
Upon application for the courses you will be invited for an initial assessment and interview to ensure that the course is suitable for you.
On completion of the Community Development Level 1 course, learners will be able to progress to a Community Developement Level 2 course. The Level 3 qualifications enable progression to further and higher education opportunities.
