I have a professional teaching qualification and worked in the education sector in FE and HE colleges. I have mainly taught Law on various programmes such as A Levels and a post-graduate Housing Studies course at Oxford Brookes University. Before teaching I was a practitioner in Housing Law Paralegal for Oxford Housing Rights Centre and Turpin and Miller Solicitors.
From my teaching roles I have extensive experience of working with students to meet their specific educational needs and goals. My previous roles in the legal sector advising and representing others remain highly relevant to teaching law.
The opportunity to work in a full-time post at Ruskin was an important development for me. Ruskin has strong ethical and inclusive values and is an institution where my both my teaching skills and political viewpoints are welcome.
