My previous experience in Maths was initially classroom based teaching KS2 and KS3, later City and Guilds Functional Skills to young adults in an FE setting, and then Maths intervention in schools. In addition, I have administered SPaG and Maths pilots for SQA. I undertook action research and CPD in Maths learning in adults and children, the latter funded by a part-time scholarship awarded by the National College for Teaching and Leadership completed in 2014. I am a qualified teacher.
I had some knowledge of Ruskin and its values which I generally share, and wanted to use the knowledge and experience I had gained through Maths teaching across the spectrum for the benefit of Ruskin’s students, helping them to achieve their goals and ambitions, especially because they are self-motivated.
