The Callaghan Library
You will find that The Callaghan Library is at the centre of your learning here: not only is it at the heart of campus, but online access will also give you 24/7 access to its collections and resources.
You can make the most of the 45,000 volumes, all dedicated to the courses and subject areas we teach, and access IT equipment within a spacious workspace.
You will be intrigued by our extensive collection of historic pamphlets, DVDs, and, CDs. You will also find the Ruskin History archive, which provides information and photographs on the history of the college, dating back to our founding in 1899.
Library access
The library is open 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday, although students may stay later if they give prior notice. Staff are on hand between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
If you are on a University programme, you will also enjoy unique membership of the Bodleian Library, the main library of the University of Oxford and the UK’s largest university library system. Students on our university programmes will also have access to the online resources held by the University of West London.
Ruskin students on a University programme can also use many other libraries in Oxford, including all the group one libraries of the University of Oxford. These include subject specialist libraries such as the Social Sciences Library as well as the Radcliffe Camera and Gladstone Link.
