Intro text
We offer a wide variety of short courses at our main campus and at local community and neighbourhood centres.
Short courses may be free of charge if you are eligible under the Pound Plus and Fee Remittance Policy. For those not eligible there is a course fee of £25.
Subjects range from gardening to bike maintenance and courses in English and mathematics.
You can join courses after the start date if places are still available.
Short courses
Digital photography - stage 3 advanced (DSLR, mirrorless and compact cameras)
Follow on from the Intermediate course with a focus on enhancing and expanding introduced skills from the previous courses (stages 1 and 2).
Digital photography - stage 2 intermediate (DSLR, mirrorless and compact cameras)
This course is designed as a follow on course to the ‘Digital Photography stage 1 beginners (DSLR, Mirrorless and Compact Cameras)’.
Exploring creative photography
This course focuses on introducing individuals to the world of creative photography.
Bike maintenance - beginners
The basics of bike maintenance, essential safety checks, and essential repairs.
ESOL Everyday English - entry level
This course will improve competence and fluency for everyday situations - social, cultural and official. It focuses on pronunciation and basic grammar in a fun and welcoming environment.
ESOL Everyday English - level 1
This course is designed for anyone who has completed an entry level ESOL course or anyone with good conversational and grammar skills. If you're ready to take your language skills to the next level of fluency, this course is for you.
Bike maintenance - intermediate
Bike maintenance aimed at students that have either completed beginners or have some experience with fixing bikes.
Introduction to Sociology
In this short introductory course, you will cover the essential information you need to understand and enjoy some topics in Sociology.
ESOL Everyday English - language and skills for working and living in the UK
Learn to communicate more effectively in English in everyday life.
Hair and beauty - manicure and hand massage
You will learn how to look after your family’s hands and nails and learn some simple massage techniques.
ESOL English for employment - entry level
This course focuses on discussions about current job trends and learning the vocabulary of job adverts.
Hair and beauty intermediate - party hair styling to improve your confidence
You will learn how to create party hairstyles for different occasions using accessories and hair extensions.
